What Veda Says about Gaumata
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
💠Sanctity of the cow, in Hinduism, the belief that the cow is representative of divine and natural beneficence and should therefore be protected and venerated. The cow has also been associated with various deities, notably Shiva (whose steed is Nandi, a bull), Indra (closely associated with Kamadhenu, the wish-granting cow), Krishna (a cowherd in his youth), and goddesses in general (because of the maternal attributes of many of them).
💠 Yajur vedam says “gau samana na vidyathe” – meaning out of all the living beings in the world, it is gaumata which helps the human most. As per Puranas if you feed gau mata it will be considered as if you have worshipped 33 crore gods. In Mahabharat, Vedavyas has told that “wherever gau mata is there, that place will be peaceful.”
💠He also told “Astaishwaryamayi laxmi vasathe gomaye sada” – meaning 8 forms of mata Laxmi will be there in gau mutra (cow urine) and gaumayam (cow dung).
💠The cow, according to the Vedas, provides four products for human use: (i) Godugdha (cow milk): As per Ayurveda, cow milk has fat, carbohydrates, minerals and Vitamin B, and even a capacity for body resistance to radiation and for regenerating brain cells. (ii) Goghruta (ghee): The best ghee, it is, as per Ayurveda useful in many disorders. In yajna, it improves the air's oxygen level. (iii) Gomutra (urine): Eight types of urine are used for medicinal purpose nowadays, among which cow urine is held to be the best. The Americans are busy patenting it. It has anti-cancer, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and antioxidant properties.
Concluding it with few words:-
Cow is not only an animal but a mother for all creatures as like mother it cares for every creatures of world even it's dung has many useful properties.
